Standing at the historic Shadwell Stud, Sakhee is remembered in the UK, Europe and the USA as the Godolphin-trained superstar that strung together impressive victories in both the Gr.1 Arc de Triomphe and Gr.1 Juddmonte International and battled Tiznow all the way down the straight in the Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup Classic. 

A truly exceptional racehorse, Sakhee was awarded the supreme accolade as the 2001 Horse of the Year, while receiving a Timeform Rating of 136.

At stud, the young sire Sakhee is quickly fashioning himself an impressive record with seven  individual stakes winners, and seven stakes placed horses from his 156 runners. 

His oldest progeny now 6YO’s, Sakhee has the distinction of siring two stars from his first crop of 60 foals -  Sakhee’s Secret and Luca Cumani’s top international middle distance performer Presvis.

Presvis another star performer for Sakhee

 The winning performance by Presvis (pictured) in Hong Kong’s $14 million Queen Elizabeth Cup (2000m) in April 2009 confirmed his status as one of the world’s top gallopers.  Presvis showed all his star quality when storming home from last to win the rich Hong Kong Group One race, from local champion  Viva Pataca, with former Kiwi galloper Thumbs Up in 3^rd place.

The lightly raced Presvis had previously demonstrated his potential on the world stage when beating home nine individual Group One winners while running second to Gladiatorus in the $5 million Dubai Duty Free Stakes.

Trainer Luca Cumani made no secret of his high rating of Presvis, and following the Hong Kong victory he immediately announced plans for a Singapore trip targeting the $3 million Gr.1 Singapore Airlines International Cup.

The Singapore trip resulted in another top performance for Presvis, running second,  beaten a head, in the feature race behind Gloria De Campeao.  The winning time for the 2000m journey was 1min 59.2 secs, a new course and race record, 1.6 seconds faster than the previous set by Endless Hall in 2001.
